Use guide

  • Select model based on required objectives: XUP401 for transmitted light only, XUP402/XUP403 for both transmitted and reflected light
  • Choose trinocular head if camera documentation is needed; use 100% eyepiece light path (100:0) for maximum brightness
  • Use LWD objectives (LPL) for reflected light inspection of polished surfaces
  • Attach C-mount or 1X adapter when connecting a digital camera for image capture

FAQ

What is the difference between XUP401, XUP402, and XUP403?
XUP401 has only transmitted light objectives; XUP402 and XUP43 include LWD objectives for reflected light and optional 60X/0.80(S). XUP403 has slightly lower net weight than XUP402.
Can I use this microscope for reflected light?
Yes. XUP402 and XUP403 include LWD infinity plan objectives (LPL 5X–50X) and a reflected polarizing unit with 12V/50W halogen lamp.
Is the Bertrand lens included?
Yes. The Bertrand lens is built-in and center-adjustable on all models.
What camera interface is available?
C-mount 0.57X (focus adjustable) and 1X adapter are optional accessories for digital camera integration.
What is the working distance for the 40X objective?
The PLAN 40X/0.66(S) objective has a working distance of 0.45 mm.
